28 December 2009

Having just returned last night from my short vacay, I only got the chance to sort my e-mail this morning. I was actually having second thoughts, whether or not I should go online and do my usual activities because I'm feeling a little bit under the weather. I guess too much running around and getting insufficient rest took their toll on me. :[

My head feels like it's going to explode, my throat is soo itchy and I'm sneezing and sneezing like crazy. I feel bad, or rather, I felt bad earlier today. But after I went through my inbox and found a surprise waiting for me, I started feeling a tad better. I found out I'm the fortunate one who's about to receive a GotHeart 2010 Planner from Vera of Where The Moon Shines!

I consider that a great 'welcome home present'. I actually wasn't counting on winning because the entries to the giveaway were supposed to be determined by comments left on Vera's blog entries from 7th to 25th December as well as comments left on her blog post about the giveaway. I only have 13 entries while the other participants had more than 20 each and the last 5 entries included in the raffle were actually the 5 entries I got for posting about Vera's contest! Talk about photo finish.☺

I am just so happy even if I'm feeling awful right now. Although I've won cash from other contests before, winning this one gives me a different sense of satisfaction. The kind words Vera wrote in her blog post about the winner also lifted my spirits up. Let me quote her words verbatim:

She wrote about the giveaway beautifully on her blog, using the word ‘cuddly’ as an allusion to bear in verabear. And saying that the ‘heart’ of the post was the mention of the giveaway. I can tell she would write sponsored posts beautifully, and no one would notice that they were sponsored :)
To Vera, thanks for the wonderfully written post and for this fantastic giveaway.☺

hi bambie! hope you're feeling a lot better now. and congratulations for winning a planner from verabear.

It's good to know that reading my message, and the announcement post helped make your day :) Congratulations again! I'll be arranging shipping of the planner to you on Monday.

I read your post on the events of 2009. It was horrible what happened to the 5-year old. :( All the more reason to wish a very happy new year - one this is overwhelming with blessings :)
