I was watching the news last night and in their public service portion, a construction worker who was recently diagnosed with Mesothelioma approached them asking for help. It turns out he used to work for a company which previously used asbestos in their construction projects. The man wasn’t aware of it. In fact, he has been retired for quite a few years already so he didn’t expect his illness to be caused by something he encountered in the past. But when he went to the doctor, he learned that he had Mesothelioma. Now the man is problematic because he doesn’t have the means to pay for his treatments and also because he doesn’t know if he can still sue his previous company for his suffering. Treatments and medicine for Mesothelioma cost a lot and there’s no way for him to shoulder the expenses. It’s a good thing the public affairs department of the TV station advised him that it was possible to file mesothelioma lawsuits and that they can get monetary compensation that can help pay their medical bills and provide for their families. I think the station will help him find a Mesothelioma lawyer to handle his case.

One of the best ways to start a business is to set up a website to inform people about it. It would even be a great idea if you could offer products on the website itself and allow potential customers to transact business with you from there. That would be beneficial both to you and your clientele because 1) you don’t have to rent a place for your business 2) you can monitor your business and make transactions right from the comfort of your own home 3) your customers can make purchases right from the comfort of their own homes and 4) word spreads faster over the Internet and before you know it, you’ll have hundreds of customers vying for your services. Now supposing you already have a business, one way to improve your sales is through small business email marketing. How does that work? Well, you simply broadcast your business to everyone on your contacts list by sending them an email informing them of the services or products you offer. It’s the most effective and fast way to make your business known to everybody who has access to the Internet. So if you want to rake in the profits of your business, start email marketing and see the results within a few days.

I have to admit that I am not very patriotic. But I do love my country. It's just that unlike other people who openly express their love for the Philippines, I'd rather keep a low profile. But when I watched this video, I was deeply touched and moved.

My dad actually forwarded this to me by e-mail and when I saw it, I just had to share it. This video shows a Korean choir singing Bayan Ko. The way they sang the song was enough to send shivers down my spine and gave me goosebumps. They sang it with so much passion and feeling you would think they were Philippine nationals performing on center stage.

I’ve been to San Diego in California but I have never set foot in Mexico which is funny because the two places are very near each other. I have always wanted to go to Mexico and experience the rich culture of the country and of course, taste their food! Given the chance, I would love to travel to Mexico. But should that happen, I don’t want to stay in a hotel. I feel like a claustrophobic when I’m inside a hotel room. I’m more at ease in a place that closely resembles home. Besides, that would make me not miss home so much. I heard that there is a vacation rentals portal where I can find listings of apartments and transient houses. I want an apartment I could rent that’s already fully furnished so my stay would be comfortable. I particularly want to find out if there are cheap puerto vallarta vacation rentals because that’s where I want to go when I fly off to Mexico. I heard that the place has beautiful beaches and excellent tourist spots. I also heard that they serve scrumptious meals and that’s exactly what I want to experience. I want an unforgettable vacation experience and I’m sure I can expect that from Mexico.

I just want to assure those who regularly visit my blog and leave comments or messages in the chat box that I will be visiting your blogs back. I just want to get my pending articles out of the way. They piled up because I was having Internet connection problems the past couple of days and couldn't work straightaway. I'm not ignoring you guys, just a little busy. But I promise to drop by and leave some love. Hopefully this weekend.☺

It’s been a long time since I last went on an out of the country vacation and I feel it’s high time that I go on one. I think I really need a break. I want to go to Chicago and visit the Sears Tower. But the thing is I don’t want to be the one to take care of all the dirty works, so to speak, so I’m looking for capable vacation rentals managers & booking agents. As it is, I’m already swamped with work so I don’t want to worry about anything should I decide to go on a vacation.

I prefer to rent out a transient house than stay in a hotel because it’s more practical especially if I’m there for an extended stay. Besides, an apartment is much bigger than a hotel room and I could even opt to just cook my own food in case I decide to spend the day indoors. I heard that I can avail of chicago vacation rentals and that’s perfect because that would give me a chance to enjoy my stay in Chicago as a local and really let my hair down and relax. Now if I could only squeeze in a vacation to my tight schedule.

I am so terribly annoyed. My Internet connection has been upsetting me for the past 3 days. Since Saturday evening, it's been a pain to connect to the Internet! I don't know what's wrong with our ISP. Work piled up because I can't even spend 30 minutes online. What's more annoying is that the software I use for my work doesn't function properly if the Internet connection is intermittent. Argh. Now I'm cramming and one of my client thinks I'm ignoring him! Waaah!

I went out today with the whole family to buy some groceries and at the same time have my eyes checked. Lately, my eyes get tired easily and I always get bad headaches after working in front of the computer for quite some time. This wasn’t the case before but I guess the resolution of my notebook coupled with the long hours I spend working everyday took their toll on my eyes. Unfortunately though, I wasn’t able to have my eyes checked. It was already late when we finished with the groceries and the optometrist’s aid said it would be impossible to get an accurate reading of my eyes since my eyes are already strained. So I would have to go back some other day and maybe I can get to choose fashionable prescription glasses as well so I wouldn’t have to schedule for a fitting. I saw several eyeglasses with designer labels and some were quite affordable so I might choose one from among them. I really, really need eyeglasses because as a writer, my work relies heavily on my computer use and if my eyes are too strained, it’s impossible to get any work done.

I'm just trying to get a few things done today because I will be going out a little later. Our pantry's starting to look famished and we need to feed it. LOL! I promised my mom I would be in charge of the groceries this month so there you go. I think I also need a break from work. My other writing job demands that I spend at least 10 hours a day in front of the computer and honestly, I'm starting to feel the repercussions. My eyes are starting to lose focus and I think I need to have my eyes fitted for eyeglasses.

Oh well. Oh, and lest I forget, I also need to pay for my Smartbro bill. Ouch. I feel sorry for my bank account. LOL!

I was watching a TV special last night about engaged couples who are tying the knot on Valentine’s Day. All the stories were really romantic. One couple fell in love over ice cream, while the other couple professed their love for each other while they were yet in 6th grade and even if they grew apart after that, after so many years they still ended up together. But one particular story that really caught my attention was about this guy who started noticing this girl because of the cute and colorful nursing scrubs she wore every time she went out.

It turned out the girl was a nursing intern and the really cute scrub clothing she wore each and every day was her nursing uniform. He actually used the uniform to strike up a conversation and break the ice. I, personally, am amazed when I see nurses wearing those unique scrubs nowadays. It makes nurses look more personable and of course, it allows nurses to express themselves in fun ways.

I think whoever thought of making colorful, fun and cute nursing uniforms is a genius. Let’s face it, there are some people, kids especially, who are kind of scared of people wearing white uniform and these new nursing scrubs make them less intimidating. Besides, in the case of that nursing student mentioned at the onset, her cute uniform paved the way for her to meet her future lifelong partner.

It's almost March once again and if you're a regular visitor of this blog, then perhaps you remember that last year, I held a contest to celebrate this blog's anniversary which also happens to fall on my birth month.

So I want to ask your opinion. Should I hold a contest again? If ever I do, I want to make the requirements for entering really easy. Hmm. I still have a few weeks left to decide. But if you have suggestions, please feel free to let me know.☺

Inch by slow inch our new house is beginning to look like a home. Now, there aren’t as many boxes out there on our patio. It’s actually beginning to look a lot like a patio now compared to its condition last week where it seemed like one big pile of rubbish. At least now we can see the flagstone patio design and not the half empty/half full boxes which housed some of our stuff.

Moving can be so much of a hassle, that much is true. My mom worked and is still working her guts off trying to make the house look and feel like a home and I laud her efforts. Actually, she and dad have been doing the bulk of the work, tidying the place up. I want to help but unfortunately, I can only do so much because of my work and because of my allergies. But I know they understand.

I've been fighting a losing battle since last Saturday. I say losing because I know I can't do anything about it but let it run its course. I'm referring to my migraine. Yep, it's been bothering me since last Saturday and up til now it's not letting up. To tell you quite frankly, I've given up on taking my pills for migraine because they don't seem to work. So, yes. I've been held prisoner by this migraine and I don't know when it will let me go. But of course, a migraine is no excuse to slack off from work. So even if I'm losing this fight, I still have to be the good employee and work.

Once again the cold virus has hit me. I'm starting to think it's my twin. Or maybe it’s my number one fan or stalker. It doesn't seem to want to separate from me. I'm barely recovering from one and now it’s here again. I guess the colds can partly be attributed to the super cold water our shower dispenses. I always take a shower before I sign out for the night and now I’m starting to think that showering with almost ice-cold water is not a good idea.

I’m trying to get my dad to buy a water heater. There’s no way we can have hot water installed because that would be too expensive. We can buy portable hot tubs though. That way all of us would get to enjoy a warm bath.

I wonder if there are portable tubs that could fit in a bathroom. I guess that’s something I have to find out one of these days.

No, I'm not talking about a real baby nor am I talking about a pet. I'm talking about my 5th blog.☺

Yes, I just set up my 5th blog which also happens to be my 4th self hosted blog. The domain, fashionismypassion.info was a gift from the person I consider my Fairy Godmother in blogniverse, Mommy Ruby. Who doesn't know her? She with the passion for collecting domains and blogs. I bet she's lost count of how many blogs she owns. Tee-hee-hee! Just kidding Mommy Rubz. You know I love you.

Anyway, I don't have any posts up yet except for the test post I wrote just to see how the blog looks like. Will try to work on the blog tomorrow, if time permits. I hope you allow your blogs to be a part of my new baby's blogroll.☺

We completed our move to our new house last week and the week that has just passed was spent setting up what needed to be set up and fixing those that needed some touch-ups. Now I’m starting to see some improvements as far as the redecorating goes. We decided to set up everything first before we got down to cleaning the house.

The new house has a lot of windows so the house really looks bright. For right now we use curtains to downplay the glare of the sun. However, we’re thinking if we should have blinds installed and then just partially cover it with curtains if ever. I think I might have to look for a company to help us with blinds and window treatments. Of course we want to make sure that whatever we put on the windows will not seem out of place so we might need expert care on that regard.

Are you looking to buy a pair of new sunglasses? I know I am. We recently moved to our new house and I just found out that my sunglasses are missing. The pair must have dropped from one of my boxes. So now I need to Buy sunglasses. I can't do without a pair because I have eye allergies and I always need to have my eyes secured. Good thing I found a site where designer sunglasses are being sold at affordable prices. They have a great collection of sunglasses and I know I'm going to have a blast shopping for one.

We're barely settled in our new house. We just finished moving all our stuff from the old one last Saturday and it was really taxing. Everything is still in shambles and I can't even find some of my clothes and shoes. It's a good thing I haven't been going out much. Well, I rarely go out except to attend church activities because work demands most of my time.

Anyway, since most of our stuff are still in boxes, we haven't been doing much cooking. We basically just order food or buy take out. We don't even have time to prepare a decent snack. But yesterday, we were all famished (them from setting up the house, me from work :P) so my mom and I bugged daddy to go out to buy anything edible. So off he went and when he came back, he had 2 big bottles of iced cold Coke and several jumbo (and I mean JUMBO!) ensaymadas.

The ensaymada was yummy but I wanted a different twist to it so I took out our jar of cream cheese and spread spoonfuls of it onto the ensaymada. The result? A very yummy treat! I now have a new favorite.☺♥

I know it’s quite late in my life for me to start thinking about securing my future. I guess it’s because I’ve always had my parents to depend on. Even now that I’m almost 34 years old, they’re still there to support me. Don’t get me wrong. I do make my own living. But I guess since I don’t have any major responsibilities being that I’m still single, really saving for my future hasn’t made a big impact on me yet.

Now, though, I’m beginning to understand how vital it is for me to secure my future. Therefore even if there’s still a long way to go before I hit my retirement age, I’m thinking of saving a portion of my monthly salary and then putting it towards my self-proclaimed “retirement” fund. Then, once I build up my retirement fund, I will use a portion of it and apply for a 401k gold transfer. So basically, a part of the money I’ve saved up in my 401k can be used to open a metal account and from there, I can start buying and trading gold. As a matter of fact, gold IRA is an option that’s most preferred by retirees in the USA.

I actually did my homework about the whole thing and I learned that gold IRA transfer is not really complicated. Of course, you need to have a specialist to help you out so you can better understand how the IRA gold transfer occurs. I really hope I can work on that gold 401k transfer once I reach 60 so I can secure my future and that of my future family’s as well.
