This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

More often than not, old age and disability prevent people from totally enjoying their lives. These hinder them from spending quality time with their families and going on much-needed vacations because moving from one place to another doesn’t come easy. If you have family members who have disabilities or are advanced in age, you probably know what I’m talking about.

Believe it or not, there is a non-profit trade association called NMEDA which gives consumers the heads up when it comes to purchasing products from NMEDA qualified dealers. They don’t sell anything but what they do is promote safe driving and equipment for people with disabilities. NMEDA stands for National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. They have dealers who are in charge of selling handicap van and vehicle modifications for people with disabilities.

NMEDA actually has 2 groups of dealers – the ordinary dealers and the Quality Assurance Program or QAP dealers. Although both provide customized vehicle solutions to fit the lifestyle and needs of disabled people, what sets them apart is that the QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It adheres to the principle that in order to consistently meet and satisfy the needs and demands of customers, it must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

Caregivers have tough jobs so if you know anyone who works as one tell him how he would benefit from talking to a qualified NMEDA dealer.

A NMEDA dealer would safely show the way back to the road for independence to the elderly and people with disabilities.

If you know anyone who might be in need of the assistance of NMEDA dealers, just visit their homepage, click on dealers’ locator and enter your zip code. You’ll immediately find a list of NMEDA dealers near you.
