Saturday 9: Spooky

1. Does anything about Halloween “spook” you? - Honestly? None.

2. What is the favorite costume you have ever worn for Halloween? - I went to a party as ME and I think that was the best costume I've ever worn.

3. What is your favorite thing about Halloween? - Candies, candies and candies!

4. What one topic is (or was) the most painful to discuss with your parents? Why? - My foolish shenanigans with boys.

5. What was the happiest day of your life? Do you think you'll ever top it? - All the days I considered happy turned out to be preludes to living nightmares. So I've changed my take on that.

6. What animal would you like to be able to communicate with? - A cat. I'd ask him why he scares me so, why he keeps on meowing and why it seems as though they speak to me sometimes.

7. In what way do you come nearest to perfection (as you define it)? - I know that nobody's perfect so I really have no basis for defining perfection. 

8. Do you have any recurring nightmares? - Yes.

9. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be and why? - I won't change anything. I'd like to believe my parents raised me the best way they possibly could and I am so thankful for that.

Saturday 9: Hush

1. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener? - Definitely listener.

2. Do you take compliments well? - I think I do although I find it embarrassing when other people pay me compliments. Is that weird?

3. Are you judgmental? - Sad to say, a bit.

4. Do you think more about the past, present or future? - I tend to think a lot about the past and the future. I find that weird for someone who lives life one day at a time.

5. What do you hate? - Liars and egotistical people.

6. Use three words to describe yourself. - Sensitive, loyal and a fighter.

7. Do you celebrate Halloween? Explain: - Nah. I don't need Halloweens to indulge on sweets when I can do that everyday. ;)

8. If you were mixing up a witches brew, what would be in it? - Frogs' eyes (instead of a newt's), cockroaches, rats' tails, puppy dog tails, licorice...

9. If you're in a room with two beds, which one do you sleep on? - The softer, bigger one and the one that's farthest from the door.

Saturday 9: Friends, Again

1. Do you make and keep friends easily? - I don't make friends easily but it's easy for me to keep my friends...the true ones.

2. Who was your very first friend? - There's this girl, she's 5 years older than I am and we became friends when I was about 8. Her name's Marinor and although we rarely see each other, the friendship remains and I know that we'll always be a major presence in each other's lives.

3. Who has been your friend the longest now? - I have 2 cousins whom I consider my best friends but outside of family, I'd have to say Marinor. We're the sort who always picks up right where we left off. We've been friends for 25 years.

4. Tell us about your best friend. - She's as different from me as night is to day. But even so, we still click and until now I'm still trying to understand how and why we do. 

5. Tell us about the friend who gets on your nerves the most, and why. - It's not so much as really getting on my nerves but I have this friend who has this annoying habit of talking over others. It pisses me off big time.

6. Tell us about the last time you let a friend down. - I can say, with my head held high, that I have never let a friend down ever. (Well, at least not yet and I'm hoping I won't.)

7. Tell us about the last wonderful thing a friend did for you! - Called me because according to her, she missed hearing my voice.

8. What was the last 'friend' thing you did? - Listened to a friend who was ranting and raving.☺

9. Have your ever been jealous of a friend's S/O? - Yes.

Saturday 9: Just Like Me

1. Who in your life do you think behaves and thinks the most like you do? - Aside from my parents from whom I take after in more ways than I can imagine, I'd have to say my nephew and one of my nieces. I can't think of a friend who behaves and thinks like me. I've always had friends who are opposites of what I am.

2. As a kid, were you ever wrongly accused (and punished, if it went that far) for something you didn't do? If so, what was it? What happened? - Never.

3. What about as an adult, were you ever wrongly accused for something you didn't do?? Do you think it's worse to be accused as a child or an adult? Why/why not? - I think I have been. I think it's worse when you're an adult because once you're of age, it goes without saying that you're already responsible for all your actions and decisions. So being wrongly accused of something is like a slap in the face because it's like questioning your ability and capacity as an adult to do things.

3. What’s the scariest weather situation you’ve experienced? - A few months ago, there was a strong typhoon which hit the Philippines and unfortunately, the typhoon passed directly over Metro Manila. electricity was cut off (I think we went on without electricity for 2 days) and I was lying in bed in total darkness and I could hear the wind howling and the roofs of our neighbors' houses being ripped apart by the wind. Scary.

4. If you could wake up tomorrow morning in another country, where would you want to be and why? - The USA. So I can be with my parents, sister and my sister's family.

5. Instead of going to work Monday, if you could spend the entire day doing something else--any one or two things that you absolutely love doing--what would you do? - I work from home but I get the point so I have to say I'd rather go shopping or go to a theme park with my family.

6. What sites (other than meme sites) do you use most to help you post on your blog? - Geez...I can't really think of anything else other than paid-to-post sites because the stuff I post in my blogs are mostly my rants and raves as a woman. Oh, yeah, I post about some of the games I play in Facebook. 

7. Check out a post on your blog from six months ago (March 2010) and tell us what is different now about your blog and/or life? - 6 months ago, I was still using a free template but after my blog's anniversary, I decided to ask designing genius Kaye to give my blog a makeover. Also, March marked my 33rd year of existence on this earth. LOL! What else? Most of my posts in March of this year centered around the contest I held for my blog's anniversary so I guess what's different now is that I'm under less stress.☺

8. What was the last photograph you took? - I took 3 pictures: my black purse, black ring and black leather bracelet. Had to take the pictures for a meme I join every Thursday. 

9. Which fashion trend do you believe is the most horrendous and why? - Probably the grunge look. I'm not such a big fan of unkempt looking clothes and make-up. I guess my fashion sense only borders along sleek and classic.

Saturday 9: Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying

1. When was the last time you cried? - Really cried? Gosh...I can't even remember when. I guess it was when I still had this notion that my last relationship was worth fighting for so when there were misunderstandings, I'd cry a lot. But when I realized it wasn't, I realized my tears were too precious to waste on that guy.

2. If you could wake up tomorrow with a new talent, what would it be? - Oh! I wanna wake up tomorrow and be able to paint...as in really paint and create a masterpiece.

3. Who is someone (other than yourself) would you like to go back into your past and talk to and why? - I want to go back to the time when I was 14 with my 2 best friends from high school. I want the 3 of us to make a promise that we would remain the best of friends even until we grow old (obviously, that's something that didn't happen so now the 3 of us are strewn all over the place :( ).

4. What is your favorite meal eating out? - Japanese and Italian.

5. Do you feel energized or drained by being in a group situation? If the answer is "it depends," on what does it depend? - It depends on the people I'm with. If they're driven, then surely I'd be energized by them.

6. What word do you use far too frequently? - Basically.☺

7. What’s a word you’ve invented? (alternate question: What needs a word but doesn’t have one yet?) - I didn't invent it but I first heard it from my manager and now almost everybody's using it: CHILLAX. He always tells us to chillax when he notices that we're stating to panic or are very pressured at work. 

8. Pick out one of your favorite songs. Go to Song Facts and tell us about the song's history. - I have a lot of favorite songs but the first song that came to my mind was Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. Here's the song's facts, verbatim:

9. What is your absolute favorite piece of furniture you have and why? - My bed! Need I say more?☺

Saturday 9: Tell Her No

1. When was the last time that you had to tell someone that you loved, that the answer was no? - 6 months ago.

2. When was the last time you visited a hospital? - Almost 4 years ago, when my SIL gave birth to my nephew.

3. If you were to start a club, what would the subject matter be, and what would you name it? - Food & blogging. I'd name it The Toast Club. Why? It was the first thing that came to mind.

4. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex? - Oh yes!☺ It was SO satisfying to punch and slap a man.

5. What's the first thing you notice about the preferred sex? - Eyes.

6. What really turns you on? - A great personality and a wonderful sense of humor.

7. What was your biggest mistake? - My past relationship.

8. Tell us something totally random about yourself. - I'm scared of cats.

9. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity? - I can't remember. LOL!

Saturday 9: Half the Man I Used to Be

1. Do you feel that you are essentially the same person that your were ten years ago? - Yes, although there has been some changes. For the better, I hope.

2. Is there something that you have to give all or nothing to? - Maybe I did and maybe I have. But one thing's for sure, it wasn't worth it so I am more careful now.

3. Have you ever gambled? What have you bet on and for how much? - Never.

4. Can you sleep anywhere or does it have to be in a bed? - My bed. If it's a bed other than mine, it would take ages before I fall asleep.

5. Tell us about the most disastrous or embarrassing first impression you've ever made on someone. - I haven't left a disastrous first impression. But if there's one thing almost everybody I've met so far can say about their first impression of me, it's that I look like a snob.

6. Do you have a memorable "ripped clothing" moment in your life? No? How about in someone else's? - Oh yeah. It was more of a ripped zipper. Yeah, I had this pair of pants and the zipper just got ripped off. I don't know why, poor stitching I guess.

7. What's changed on your blog since its inception? ...a redo? ...a change of pace? ...or is it about the same? - All of the above. LOL!

8. If you could travel back in time and whisper something to yourself ten years ago, what would it be? - Never fall for a man from your past especially if the name starts with A!

9. Okay, let's have it! What's the craziest, most impulsive thing you've ever done? - Answering this meme? Just kidding! I can't think of anything, in all honesty. I am that boring.

Saturday 9: Little Miss Can't Be Wrong

1. Who was the last person you dealt with that felt that they could never be wrong? - My EX!

2. Tell us about one person who is the most like you. - Hmm. I guess my mom. We're both feisty and we're both fighters.

3. What is something you really want right now? - Peace of mind.

4. What are you doing this weekend? - Work and work some more. Bummer!

5. Are you in a good mood? If yes, Why? - A little. It's almost September which means holiday sales are in the offing!

6. Do you have an ex that you are pretty sure thinks about you a lot? - Oh yes!

7. What's one thing you wish you could do but can't? - Be with my sister.

8. What's one trait you hate in a person? - Just one? Arrogance.

9. What's one thing you like to do alone? - Contemplate on life.

Saturday 9: Welcome Back

1. Where were you the last time that someone welcomed you back? - Online, chatting with my sister. I had to go pee so I told her I'd be right back. When I came back she told me, "Welcome back."

2. Tell us who is you favorite non-family member to hang out with? - My close friend Jackie. She used to be my officemate. We are so different yet we jive so well.

3. What was the last thing that happened to anger you? - I was cheated on. 

4. What was the last thing that you saw that was shocking to see? - A rat in our garage!

5. What is your favorite thing to do on Saturday besides Saturday 9? - Sleep!

6. Have you had your summer vacation yet? If yes tell us about it. - I rarely go on vacations. =(

7. Pick out one of your cousins and tell us about them. - Her name is Shelah. I consider her my bestest friend in the world. She's 2 years older than I am and she treats me like a young kid until now. I feel protected when I'm with her.

8. Do you have any special plans for next week? - Clean my room. Is that special?

9. At what age will you consider yourself old and why? - I will never consider myself old. I'll always be young at heart. I believe when I start feeling old, all else will follow and I'll lose my drive to live a happy life.

Saturday 9: The Sun Rising

1. When was the last time that you watched a sunrise? Who were you with? - About 2 years ago, with my then SO.

2. If President Obama promised he'd do one thing you asked, what would you ask him to do? - I don't live in the USA but if I could ask Pres. Obama one thing, I'd ask him to keep all the promises he uttered during his inauguration.

3. What is one experience that has strengthened your character the most so far? - Heartbreak after heartbreak. Failed relationships after failed relationships.

4. What is the first thing that you usually do after completing Saturday 9? - Leave a comment on Sam's blog.

5. Tell us about someone either in your life or in the blogosphere that you think is extremely funny. - That would have to be my brother. He's a born comic.

6. Where was the last bed that you slept in that was not your own? - It was a hotel bed. From my last vacation.

7. Have you ever been too drunk to remember anything? - Never.☺

8. Have you ever licked something to clean it? - Okay, this may sound weird but I think some people actually do this: I licked blood off my lips after it cracked (got too dry).

9. Who, outside of family or a S/O, has influenced your life the most? - No one. Really. Is that bad?

Saturday 9: Love Hurts

1. Tell us about the last time that you got hurt in the arena of love. - That's fresh. Just last March. Found out my "then" guy fathered a baby who was already 3 months old that time. Argh! Where was I? Why didn't I see the signs?

2. Have you ever been part of the wedding party, other than your own? - Yup. I was a bridesmaid during my guy cousin's wedding and I was the maid of honor during my brother's wedding.

3. Let's say you find yourself in Hell after you die. Think about everyone you've known in your life. Who would be the one person that would least likely to surprise you by being in Hell with you? - My ex. The same guy I mentioned in #1.

4. What brings you good luck? - I honestly don't know. I've never believed in pure luck.

5. Do you have a photo blog? If so, feel free to share the link with us! - None. I want to start one but I don't really take good pictures.

6. What is your biggest source of news? (Internet? Newspaper? Television? Radio? The Daily Show? Other?) - Internet, TV.

7. What's the hottest you've ever been in your life? - Hot in what sense? LOL!  

8. If you had to choose a theme song for your blog, which would would you choose and why? - Whitney Houston's Try It On My Own. There's a line there that goes, "I live my life the way I feel, no matter what I'll keep it real." That's me and that's what I want to show others...I am me, no pretentions.

9. Who was the last person you had an online conversation with that you've never met or talked to on your phone? - A fellow blogger, Pehpot, through Yahoo messenger.
