It’s always fun to take a vacation out of the country. Actually, I would’ve wanted to travel this month since it’s my birthday month. But work schedule and other personal issues prompted me to postpone any form of birthday holiday. I would’ve wanted to go on a vacation somewhere in Europe. Why? I just feel that next to Paris, Spain is the next best romantic destination for me. Well, I’m not with anybody right now but of course I want to travel and spend time with my family. After all, they are the ones I should be with on my birthday. In fact, I was already looking at rates for
Holiday Villas in Portugal. We actually prefer to rent transient homes when we travel because it affords us more flexibility and freedom. Besides, being in a home setting is way better than being cooped up in a hotel room. Not to mention the fact that it’s cheaper. I actually saw several sites offering good deals and on top of that, the holiday villas are in a compound that offers a lot of amenities so even if vacationers decide to stay in, there will still be activities to do. On that note, I’m definitely going to give them all a rain check.
It’s been a long time since I last went on an out of the country vacation and I feel it’s high time that I go on one. I think I really need a break. I want to go to Chicago and visit the Sears Tower. But the thing is I don’t want to be the one to take care of all the dirty works, so to speak, so I’m looking for capable
vacation rentals managers & booking agents. As it is, I’m already swamped with work so I don’t want to worry about anything should I decide to go on a vacation.
I prefer to rent out a transient house than stay in a hotel because it’s more practical especially if I’m there for an extended stay. Besides, an apartment is much bigger than a hotel room and I could even opt to just cook my own food in case I decide to spend the day indoors. I heard that I can avail of
chicago vacation rentals and that’s perfect because that would give me a chance to enjoy my stay in Chicago as a local and really let my hair down and relax. Now if I could only squeeze in a vacation to my tight schedule.
Vacation was a luxury to me back when I was working as a call center agent. The odd working hours, coupled with work related stress made it impossible for me to enjoy even the mandatory off days. Whenever I was granted the much desired leave, whether it’s vacation or sick leave, I would rather spend the days at home, either sleeping or just hanging out with my brother and SIL. I don’t know if it was just me. Maybe I just wasn’t prepared enough that’s why I couldn’t quite fully adjust my body clock. I’m not sure if other people who work at call centers feel the same. But when my nephew was born, I took that as an opportunity to get out of the company I was working for.
After I left the company, I started working from home as a full-time freelance writer. Oddly enough, I’m still unable to take a much deserved reprieve from work. Of course, since I hold my work hours in my hands, I can take a break every now and then. I can even take the day off if I want too, when I choose to. But what I am aiming for is a long vacation. Preferably a month-long vacation where I can hie off to a faraway place and just enjoy!
Naturally, I won’t go alone. My brother, SIL and nephew must accompany me. I can’t picture myself going on a vacation without them! Since my nephew is a certified Disney fan – he loves everything Disney especially Mickey Mouse – visiting Disney World is a must. So, as early as now, even if I still don’t have a clue as to when we all can go for an out-of-the-country trip, I will start looking into affordable or reasonable
Disney World Packages. I’d rather go for packages because at least that way, all areas will be covered.
It may seem like a far-fetched idea considering that, except for the little boy, all three of us are very busy. But I’m sure once I tell them that a visit to Disney World is the focal point of the trip, they would gladly say yes.
To my dear friends, I'll be going on a brief hiatus from the blogosphere. I think I need to take a break for a while and I think it's rightly so since it's the holy week. Well, at least here in the Philippines. I will just try to come up with scheduled posts.☺
I'm just working on a couple of things right now while on transit because I need to submit these no later than this afternoon. As soon as I get back, I'll be posting a contest update. Why? Because I have a new sponsor. Yes! Clarissa of
Kizuna will be sponsoring make up goodies for my contest! Isn't that grand! So when I get back, I'll be posting about it.☺
I wish you all a good week. Also, I know most of you will go on vacation as well so to those of you who are going out of town for the holy week, take care and have fun!☺
When I was younger, my dad would take the whole family on vacations. We’d travel to different tourist destinations within the country every time there was a break from school and during the Christmas break. Then on summer vacations, we’d travel to other countries like Hong Kong and the U.S. On each trip, we’d take the plane. Even if we were just traveling within the country, my dad always booked domestic flights because he wanted us to experience plane travel. My siblings and I did enjoy each and every flight. We always looked forward to those trips because they didn’t only allow the family to bond but they gave us the chance to explore new places and meet new friends.
Now that I’m older though, taking time off from work to go on vacations is a luxury I can only wish for. With the demands of this busy life, I can’t even remember when I last took a really long and relaxing vacation. But I’m making a promise to myself. Before this year ends, I want to travel some place but this time, I won’t book any flight. Instead, I would prefer to ride a cruise ship. Yes, I want to experience something different and I feel that being on board a cruise ship would do the trick. I can only imagine the breath-taking sites I’d see once I’m on board a luxury liner. Just the thought is making me so excited!
